I used to think books weren’t for me.

Growing up, English wasn’t just a second language—it felt like a second barrier. I didn’t speak my first words in English until I was 13, and every classroom reading session filled me with dread. My accent, my struggles, my fear of being mocked—it all kept me at arm’s length from books. Back then, reading didn’t feel like a door to opportunity; it felt like a reminder of what I couldn’t do. So, I avoided it entirely.

Fixed Mindset VS Growth MindsetBut life has a way of pushing us toward what we resist. Years later, as I stumbled through one entrepreneurial failure after another, I realized something crucial: my biggest limitation wasn’t my effort—it was how I approached problems. Successful entrepreneurs didn’t just work harder; they thought differently. And that realization led me back to books.

Books became my mentors, my secret weapon, and my guide to growth. They sharpened my thinking, expanded my skills, and taught me how to communicate with clarity and confidence. Today, I owe much of my success—personally and professionally—to the lessons I’ve gleaned from reading. In this edition, I’m sharing the 10 books that have profoundly shaped my journey. If you’re ready to challenge your assumptions, gain new perspectives, and unlock your potential, these are the books to start with.

1. “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill

This book taught me that success starts in your mind. It explains how setting clear goals, believing in yourself, and staying consistent can lead to great things. It’s not just about making money—it’s about thinking bigger and building a strong mindset to reach your dreams.

2. “The Magic of Thinking Big” by David J. Schwartz

This book made me realize the power of thinking bigger. It shows how your mindset shapes your life. I found easy tips to feel more confident, stop doubting myself, and aim higher. It’s like a roadmap for dreaming big and making it happen.

3. “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks

This book helped me see how I was holding myself back. It explains how we all have hidden fears that stop us from growing. I learned how to break free from those fears and live in my best zone—the place where I do what I love and do it well.

4. “Limitless” by Jim Kwik

Jim Kwik’s book is all about unlocking the power of your brain. It shares simple tricks to learn faster, remember more, and focus better. It felt like a manual for making my brain work smarter. If you want to grow and learn faster, this book is for you.

5. “Never Finished” by David Goggins

Goggins is all about tough love. It shares a story of turning pain into power and refusing to give up. It made me look at my excuses and push myself harder. It’s inspiring and a great reminder that our limits are often just in our heads.

6. “The Quantum Leap Strategy” by Price Pritchett

This short book packs a punch. It shows how to make big changes in life by taking bold steps, not small ones. It’s about thinking differently and taking risks to grow faster. When I felt stuck, this book showed me how to leap forward.

7. “Turning Pro” by Steven Pressfield

This book taught me how to take my work seriously. It’s about choosing to show up every day, even when it’s hard. It helped me stop waiting for the right moment and start doing the work to reach my goals.

8. “Unfu*k Yourself” by Gary John Bishop

This book helped me get out of my own way. The advice is simple and direct—change how you think, take control, and stop holding yourself back. When I felt stuck, this book pushed me to take action and make progress.

9. “A Happy Pocket Full of Money” by David Cameron Gikandi

This book isn’t just about money—it’s about living with abundance. It showed me how my thoughts and beliefs shape my reality. It’s a simple reminder that happiness and success start with how I see myself and the world.

10. “The Almanack of Naval Ravikant” by Eric Jorgenson

This book is full of wisdom about wealth and happiness. It explains how to use your time wisely, think long-term, and focus on what really matters. It’s easy to read and packed with lessons that helped me live a better, more meaningful life.

And here’s the thing: reading is only the start. The real magic happens when you take what you’ve read and put it into action. That’s when your life starts to change. Reading helped me change my mindset, build new habits, and start achieving dreams and outcomes I once thought were out of reach. I started with just 5 pages a day—it might sound cliché, but if I can do it, I truly believe you can build this new reading habit too. And now, I’m in the market for a new book! If you’ve read something great recently, I’d love to hear your recommendation—please send it my way. Have an awesome week, and I’ll see you next week.
